Though it is widely believed that it is a resourceful community with abundance in all aspects, there are many families in the community who are not only economically weaker but also fall below the poverty line. We noticed that when an old aged person of economically weaker household falls sick owing to age related problems or faces health issues which requires costly treatment, it becomes extremely difficult for the family to fund such expenses. There are youngster’s who have dreams in their eyes and belief in their ability but lack the necessary monetary resources to pursue higher education owing to the problems at home. To fill this void and to bring about a positive change in the lives of such people, a few like-minded individuals got together and established the Joy of Living Trust.
